Responsibilities:
· Build and manage preventive & predictive maintenance plans for injection molding machinery & plant equipment.
· Oversee and direct maintenance team in execution of maintenance plan.
· Serve on plant leadership team. Develop maintenance budget.
· Develop & implement SOPs for optimal use of technical & engineering resources.
· Manage contracts for outsourced services.
· Attend customer design development pre-launch meetings and internal meetings to prepare maintenance plans.
· Manage plant equipment maintenance, tooling repair & new tool production.
· Maintain and issue daily work plans.
· Investigate and initiate corrective action to minimize production faulty part.
· Advise Plant Manager on outsourcing of repair / maintenance of machines, molds, tools, and equipment.
· Coordinate new equipment purchases with HQ.
· Manage maintenance of utility systems supplying heat, electricity, gas, compressed air, vacuum and plastic raw material.
· Review new product & production plans and develop equipment requirements for production.
· Utilize ERP software to manage requisitions for maintenance services, tools, equipment and supplies.
· Confer with Plant Manager, engineering and quality personnel to resolve maintenance problems and recommend measures to improve operations and conditions of machines & equipment.
· Ensure overall facility maintenance requirements are met.
· Assure compliance with standards including IATF16949; manufacturing, maintenance, material handling, material control disciplines; and safety, labor and governmental regulations.
Job Skills and Requirements:
· Associate’s degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology or closely related, or equivalent;
· 5 years of experience as a technical manager, maintenance manager or engineer in plastic injection molding plant;
· Experience and knowledge in plastic injection molding, 3D modeling software, project management, lean manufacturing, budget development and management and facilities maintenance management;
· Knowledge of MSDS and blueprint reading (electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic), Engel machines & robots and similar machines, material conveying, plastic process injection, cooling equipment, compressed air and PLC brands.
