EDUCATION
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field. In lieu of degree five (5) years related experience will be considered.
LICENSING/CERTIFICATION
Any certification specializing in data management, data architecture, data modeling or healthcare preferred.
EXPERIENCE
Three (3) years experience in healthcare IT, preferably in a health insurance setting.
Fluency with the HL7 2.x file format (ADT and clinical messages) and a thorough understanding of how interface development projects work
Experience with CCD and C-CDA documents desired
Experience with X12 file formats desired
Experience with file parsing (XML, XSLT, etc.)
Comfort level with object-oriented programming concepts desired
Experience with VA VistA and FileMan desired
Experience with MuleSoft desired
Cache / Ensemble / HealthShare experience desired

Excellent interpersonal skills
SkillsResponsibilitiesConsults with users to identify current operating procedures and to clarify program objectives, Coordinates, and administers key process improvements to HDME implementations, Creates documentation to describe program development, logic, coding, work instructions and corrections, Defines and performs HDME system backups and recovery procedures, Implements policies, procedures, and technologies (including firewalls) to ensure HDME system security, Installs, coordinates, and troubleshoots HDME-related products, Interprets the manuals prepared for users to describe operating procedures, Participates in design and review of new applications and integration strategies of HDME systems, Performs data audits and quality control measures, Responds to inquiries relating to HDME from providers and internal departmentsCertificationsSecurity RequirementsThis position is identified as level three (3). This position must ensure the security and confidentiality of records and information to prevent substantial harm, embarrassment, inconvenience, or unfairness to any individual on whom information is maintained. The integrity of information must be maintained as outlined in the company Administrative Manual.
