GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
This role will be responsible for the planning, development, management, operations and implementation of all account transaction based fraud / loss prevention functions. Oversees department operations for effectiveness and efficiency in regard to account transaction risk.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and oversee strategies to reduce the impact of fraud on members and the credit union.
Identify and monitor metrics to measure, forecast, and respond to fraud activity across multiple channels.
Identify and implement resources to support strategies to reduce and prevent fraud across multiple channels.
Oversee daily department operations including daily settlements, account transaction risk areas such as account disputes, alert processing and return deposit items.
Oversee all aspects of the Red Flag Program and produce an annual memo to Board with related information to document the effectiveness of the Program.
Assume role as a leading participant for projects impacting department operations.
Evaluate department policies and procedures for adherence, efficiency, and effectiveness.
Serve as administrator, develop expertise, and maintain internal controls of the various applicable software systems and databases used to carry out day to day operations.
Recruit, coach, and establish training plan for the department staff as needed.
Evaluate work performance of staff. Provide meaningful feedback as needed.
Oversee establishing fraud rules on plastic cards to prevent losses while not creating undue burden on card holders.
Oversee fraud strategies for card services, electronic payment solutions, online and mobile delivery channels.
Ensure general ledger and custodial accounts are balanced.
Assist Examiners and Auditors as needed.
Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or GED
- 2 years of related experience
