What are the responsibilities and job description for the Freight Train Conductor position at Arkansas-Oklahoma Railroad?
We are looking for a strong, dynamic person to join our family-owned Short Line Railroad in our operations department as a train conductor. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude and be ready to learn and grow as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
- Be in good physical shape.
- Able to lift 50 lbs or more.
- Communicate clearly and use a computer for inputting data.
- Provide an excellent customer experience.
- Speak loudly and clearly into a handheld radio, communicate effectively with crew members.
- Pass a drug screening. Medical Marjana cards are not accepted.
- Manage and facilitate the safe and efficient operation of the train and crew.
- Demonstrate excellent problem solving and customer service skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $8.35 - $25.26 per hour
