Financial Data Analyst

Job Description:

Overview:As a Senior Financial Data Analyst, you will be responsible for combining and analyzing complex data sets spanning multiple locations to provide insights for strategic decision-making. You will work closely with various departments to complete detailed forecasts, prepare reports, and aid in financial planning processes. This role requires a meticulous individual with strong analytical skills and the ability to present findings in a clear and concise manner.

Responsibilities:

Data Analysis and Reporting:

• Combine and analyze complex data sets from various sources to derive actionable insights.
• Prepare detailed forecasts by channel across multiple locations.
• Provide quarterly/monthly reporting to Corporate on capital expenditures, deferred revenue, and other financial metrics as required.
• Assist in mid-month estimates and forecasting activities

Financial Reporting and Compliance:

• Aid in accrual and reporting processes.
• Develop and upload data sets to Hyperion for financial analysis and reporting purposes.
• Prepare ad hoc reports for Senior Management, Corporate Reporting, and Corporate Tax departments.
• Test, document, and pull records for audit requests to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required. MBA and CPA desired, but not required.
• 2-5 years in data analysis, managing large data sets, financial analysis and accounting
• Strong analytical skills with a demonstrated understanding of general accounting principles and financial analysis.
• Proficiency in MS Office required. Advanced Excel skills including proficiency with lookups and pivot tables.
