Arlington County's Department of Human Services (DHS) Child & Family Services Division (CFSD) is hiring an Accounting Technician to assist with annual expenditures from various funding sources including: the Children Services Act (CSA), Title IV-E Foster Care and Adoptions, Juvenile Court, and Special Education.
Specific duties include:
Minimum:
Education: Completion of the requirements for graduation from a standard senior high school or vocational school, a GED certificate, or the equivalent.
Experience: Some experience supporting account management, account maintenance or budget related work.
Substitution: Successful completion of college coursework from an accredited college or university may be substituted for some experience.
Desirable: Preference may be given to applicants who possess experience in one or more of the following:
Background Check: A pre-employment criminal records check will be conducted. It may include checks of the following: criminal record, driving record, education, professional licensure, and credit history. You may be required to sign a release authorizing the County to obtain your background information. A pre-hire federal background check and State of Virginia Central Registry check will also be completed before hire.
Work Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Some telework is possible, contingent upon supervisor approval and workload.
