Supply Chain Orchestration Analyst (Hybrid)

SUMMARY

The Client's managed freight movement and promotions are monitored by a Profitable Response Orchestration Analyst, whose responsibility is proactive responses resulting in system-wide collaboration, communications, and execution. The Orchestration Analyst ensures all category stakeholders are participating in collaborative response management, and develops and executes SKU level inventory contingency plans to ensure required client inventory In-Stock targets are achieved.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop, update, and maintain SOPs for this function.
  • Develop warehouse specific item level Min & Max inventory targets.
  • Build and execute against forward looking inventory plans.
  •  Achieve and exceed client defined SKU Fill-Rate
  • Engage directly with clients to identify optimal solution to resolve constrained network Supply.
  • Design and implement network strategy for new and end of life items.
  • Maintain item master data for all managed items.
  • Frequent interaction with Account Management and clients will require becoming a “trusted advisor” to the network.
  • Actively participate in suggesting, designing, testing, and implementation of new tools.
  • Interact as necessary with other departments (Transportation, Warehouse Ops, Finance, Engineering) to provide insight relevant to their respective areas.
  • Participate in and support new customer integration activities.
  • Initiate process improvements related to the supply chain.
  • Lead or participate on project teams as required.
  • Root cause network disruptions and provide corrective action internally and externally when necessary.
  • Develop and manage to relevant KPI’s to support and measure the business.
  • Assess technology requirements needed to support current or proposed business.
  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Work in conjunction with 3rd party support including but not limited Supply Chain Visibility platform application vendors, carriers, distribution centers, clients, vendors, and all levels of internal personnel.
  • Assist in the setup and maintenance of master data in the Supply Chain Visibility platform.
  • Support real-time troubleshooting day to day operations (i.e. carrier compliance, new carrier onboarding, geofence address management).
  • Communicate changes, issues, and outages to end users.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • At the time of this posting, this position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities, but may be asked to provide support to Managers as necessary

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience Requirement

Minimum:

    • 2 years’ experience in transportation – operations and inventory experience preferred
    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Transportation, Communications, or Logistics OR equivalent experience

Preferred:

    • 3 years experience of supply chain industry experience
    • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management
    • Industry Certifications in Supply Chain, project management, or process improvement (E.G. APICs, CSCM, PMP, Six Sigma, etc)

Experience:

  • Demonstrated success in leading large, complex solution design/development projects for clients
  • Comprehensive understanding of Inventory Management, Demand and Supply Planning, Demonstrated client facing abilities and “trusted advisor” relationship building
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment; ability to stay focused on responsibilities and meet deadlines
  • Ability to present ideas in business friendly and user-friendly language; demonstrated aptitude for working with, supporting, and communicating cross functionally with internal stakeholders and customers.

 

Language and Technical Skills Requirement 

    • Strong business acumen specifically related to the development and implementation of supply chain, inventory management, and procurement processes and related best practices 
    • Innovation focus and intellectual curiosity that supports a “what is possible” philosophy around problem solving and solution development
    • Excel, Access, Cognos, miscellaneous systems experience to assist in highly analytic activity
    •  Strong working knowledge of Planning technology, specifically JDA/Blue Yonder Demand and Fulfill technologies (or previous generation products like i2, Manugistics, etc)  preferred
