The Commercial Estimator will play a crucial role in ensuring that our bid estimates meet or exceed our clients' expectations by focusing on accuracy, thoroughness, quality, and clear communication.
Job Summary
As a Commercial Estimator specializing in Masonry, Restoration, Waterproofing and Sealants at Armani Restoration, you will be responsible for transforming available information into accurate bid estimates and proposals.
Your primary focus will be on delivering high-quality contract proposals and ensuring that Commercial Project Managers are well-prepared for successful job starts.
You will work collaboratively with various teams and develop lasting relationships with project managers, customers, and vendors.

Key Responsibilities :
Bid Estimation and Proposal Preparation :
Conduct on screen material take-offs and field measures as required.
Utilize software to create material and labor estimates.
Establish pricing and communicate requirements throughout the bid process.
Create comprehensive Contract Proposals, including a Contract Cover Letter, detailed scope of work, and supporting exhibits.
Meet CHRO additional vendor solicitation requirements
Collaboration and Project Support :
Work closely with the Purchasing team to ensure awareness of job starting dates and product availability information.
Lead Project Hand-off meetings to review job files, confirm priorities, and discuss bid notes and customer call-outs.
Promote regular communication and continuous improvement in project management.
Relationship Management :
Maintain and nurture professional relationships with customers and vendors.
Attend mandatory prebids.
Required Capabilities :
Ability to read technical documents.
Working knowledge of relevant construction methods.
Meticulous attention to detail.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Inquisitive mindset and critical thinking approach to bid preparation.
Comfortable with multitasking.
Ability to quickly re-familiarize oneself with work completed more than 3 months ago.
Ability to learn and master take-off and estimation-related software.
Ability to learn and master job costing and change order software.
Physical ability to conduct site visits, including extended periods of standing, walking, stooping, bending, twisting, crawling, climbing, and using tools.
Valid driver's license and ability to drive vehicles.
Ability to understand the RFI process & addendum searches.
Work with admin to secure required bid bonds & related bid forms.
Minimum 5 year of experience in related fields.
Software : Knowledge / Proficiency in On-Screen takeoff, Bluebeam, Excel, Word
