Employment Information:

Summary:
The primary function of a parts assistant is to be available to assist all parts department employees as requested.
Essential Duties: include the following. Other duties may be assigned
- Keeps warehouse (all parts storage areas) and dock area clean, safe, and organized at all times.
- Pick orders according to invoice or packing slip and prepare for shipment via UPS, Hunter delivery, customer pick up, etc.
- Proper operation of equipment to safety and productivity requirements, including but not limited to: lift trucks or hand trucks to convey, move or hoist materials to proper departments or areas.
- Proper use of personal protective equipment is required.
- Operate all machinery, tools, and equipment safely.
- Advise parts manager if there is anything in need of repair.
- Daily disposes of used cardboard, skids, and garbage in the warehouse.
- Deliver parts to/from customers or suppliers, using a company vehicle, as requested.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Basic computer knowledge required. Must be able to complete and pass OSHA-approved forklift training.
- Valid driver’s license and driving record that meets company insurability standards.
