What are the responsibilities and job description for the Materials Expediter (MVO) position at Army Tank-Automotive and Armament Command (TACOM)?
This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for DIB & MRTB to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
About the Position: Employees work Mon-Thurs, 0630-1700 hrs. Mass transportation is available at minimal cost. Youth and daily child care facilities are available. Surrounding area boasts a full range of outdoor sports/recreation activities.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
There is no specific length of training or experience required. However, you must be able to demonstrate, through experience shown in your written application materials that you possess the sufficient knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the work of this position without more than normal supervision.
Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of a(n) Materials Expediter (MVO)~ without more than normal supervision. I have the ability to perform common Materials Expediter duties. I am skilled in 1) process parts requests using computer software received through electronic correspondence; 2) maintain physical custody of material; 3) move materials to various work areas. I work under normal supervision of a work leader or journey-level employee who observes tasks in progress and upon completion to make sure they are properly performed. - Failure to meet this Screen out Element will result in an ineligible rating.

- Physical Effort: The employee stands, stoops, bends and works in tiring and uncomfortable positions. May be required to work at a rapid pace for prolonged periods. Frequently lifts and carries material weighing up to 40 pounds, and at times may handle items weighing over 40 pounds with assistance.
- Working Conditions: Subject position regularly exposed to possible injury associated with handling equipment. Work is usually performed indoors in well-lighted and ventilated holding areas or shop areas. May be exposed for short periods to outdoor conditions. Regularly exposed to shop noises, dirt, dust, fumes, and vibrations. May be required to wear protective clothing such as steel toed shoes, safety glasses, or gloves.
