What are the responsibilities and job description for the Kitchen position at Arni's?
An Arni’s Kitchen team member is an integral part of the day-to-day operation and is responsible for consistently preparing and delivering our signature menu items in a fast-paced environment. The perfect team member can follow instructions, work with hot and cold foods (from our pizzas, pastas, and sandwiches to our famous Arni’s Junior salad), and be able to multi-task while working as a team.
Responsibilities
- Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment
- Prepare ingredients to use in cooking (chopping, dicing, portioning, etc.)
- Cook food using a variety of methods (steaming, baking, frying, grilling)
- Ensure great presentation by garnishing dishes before they are served
- Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen
- Ensure all food and other items are stored properly
- Check quality of ingredients
Requirements and skills
- Prior cooking experience is preferred
- Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends
- Experience in using cutting tools, cookware, and bakeware
- Ability to follow all sanitation procedures
- Ability to work as part of a team for the benefit of the guest
- Very good communication skills
