What are the responsibilities and job description for the Material Handler - 2nd Shift position at AROW Global?
Material Handler - Glass
2nd shift: 3:15pm-1:15am, M-TH, with occasional overtime on Fridays
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee inventory and manage it according to company standards and guidelines
- Review operational production schedules and requirements to ensure timely order fulfillment
- Maintain updated and accurate records of inventory, including receiving material, material transfers, cycle counts, and troubleshooting quantity discrepancies between physical stock and records
- Respond to Customer Service inquiries and Production orders
- Process orders for shipment
- Review order quality requirement
- Develop and implement improvements to existing operational procedures to maximize efficiency and cut operations costs
- Backfill other areas within the inventory control department as needed
- Perform other duties as required
Requirements and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Physical ability to lift up to 75 pounds and sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl repeatedly
- Ability to balance multiple tasks and change priorities
- Team-oriented approach to projects
- Ability to be trained and pass certification requirements to drive stand up lift, forklift, ride on pallet jack, and stock chaser
- Ability to follow written work orders
- Ability to use a tape measure and read prints
- Ability to work quickly and with accuracy
- Has excellent attention to detail and is good with numbers
- Proficient with computers and other standard office technology
- Superior organizational and communication skills
- Related experience in retail, wholesale, warehousing, or logistics is a plus
- Familiarity with IFS enterprise resource planning software is a plus
