Job Title: PLC Panel Builder
Job Overview:
As a PLC Panel Builder, you will be responsible for assembling, wiring, and testing electrical control panels used in industrial automation systems. Your primary focus will be on reading and interpreting electrical drawings to ensure accurate assembly and wiring of PLC panels. Prior experience in control panel assembly and familiarity with PLC systems is highly desirable for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reading Electrical Drawings:
- Interpret electrical schematics, diagrams, and blueprints to understand the layout and wiring requirements for PLC control panels.
- Identify components, wiring paths, and connection points as specified in the drawings.
- Panel Assembly and Wiring:
- Assemble electrical control panels according to design specifications and electrical drawings.
- Mount and wire various electrical components such as PLCs, relays, switches, terminal blocks, and power supplies.
- Ensure proper routing and bundling of wires to maintain organization and prevent interference.
- Utilize hand and power tools safely and effectively during assembly and wiring processes.
- Quality Control and Testing:
- Conduct visual inspections to verify the accuracy and completeness of panel assemblies.
- Perform continuity checks, insulation resistance tests, and functional testing to ensure proper electrical connections and panel functionality.
- Troubleshoot and rectify any wiring or assembly issues identified during testing.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of components used, assembly procedures followed, and test results obtained.
- Generate reports detailing the status of panel assembly, testing outcomes, and any deviations from design specifications.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Coordinate with engineers, project managers, and other team members to clarify requirements and resolve technical issues.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of projects.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical drawings, schematics, and blueprints.
- Hands-on experience in assembling and wiring electrical control panels.
- Familiarity with PLC systems and industrial automation components.
- Knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and safety practices.
- Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools with precision and safety.
- Strong attention to detail and quality consciousness.
- Good problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot electrical issues.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.

Physical Requirements:
