Candidate Minimum Qualifications:
- High school graduate or equivalent certification with 2 years of administrative experience is required.
- 2 years minimum previous experience processing mortgage loan transactions in retail, wholesale or correspondent mortgage lending
- Bilingual/Spanish proficiency is preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to discuss complex loan scenarios.
- Ability to work on deadlines with great attention to detail.
- Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- The ability to think critically and find alternative solutions.
- Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn loan processing software or other lending systems.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace products.
Job Description:
- Maintain transparent communication with clients, 3rd party service providers, the executive team and board managers for the company. Provide regular updates on the status of loan file to all stakeholders and confidently communicate these statuses through email and on the phone.
- Review all documents uploaded to our internal portal to ensure complete loan packages prior to forwarding to our underwriting team for review
- Responsible for ensuring all loan documentation is complete, accurate, and complies with transaction guidelines for our program
- Perform initial underwrite including income and asset analysis, appraisal and inspection review
- The ideal candidate should possess skills in financial analysis, cash flow analysis, and financial modeling, as well as proficiency in credit analysis
- Communicate with all transaction participants to ensure timely delivery of documentation for closing
- Communicate with all transaction participants to ensure a smooth and timely closing
- Maintain notes within our internal portal to ensure complete exchange of information regarding loan applications, loan status, and conversations with all transaction participants
