What we’re looking for:
- Some one responsible and with experience to supervise the Maintenance Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations governing our facility, and as may be directed by the Executive Director, to assure that our facility is maintained in a safe and comfortable manner. The position may be classified as salaried exempt and is justified by a program requiring at least 50% of time dedicated to the management of the department . To assist in the management and direction of the Environmental Services Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern our facility, and as may be directed by the Administrator, to ensure that the highest degree of quality is maintained at all times. As the Housekeeping Supervisor, you are delegated the administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability necessary for carrying out your assigned duties.The position may be classified as salaried exempt and is justified by a program requiring at least 50% of time dedicated to the management of the department and personnel.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and/or Experience:
· High School Diploma or equivalent
· Must have, as a minimum, one year of experience in a hospital, long-term care facility, or other related health care facility.
Other Specific Requirements
· Must provide evidence of being free of tuberculosis infection upon hire and as set forth by the policies of the facility.
· Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
· Must possess the ability to make independent decision when circumstances warrant such action.
· Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public.
· Must possess leadership and supervisory ability and the willingness to work harmoniously with and supervise other personnel.
· Ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, procedures, etc., of the Maintenance Department.
· Ability to maintain the care and use of supplies, equipment, etc., and maintain the appearance of work areas; must perform regular inspections of resident rooms/units for order, safety, and proper performance of equipment.
· Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm as well as be willing to handle residents based on whatever maturity level they are currently functioning.
· Has the ability to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing maintenance practices.
We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of all equipment and facilities, as well as supervising a team of maintenance technicians. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of safety regulations, be able to troubleshoot and repair complex machinery, and have excellent communication and organizational skills.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the maintenance of all equipment and facilities.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs.
- Perform regular inspections of all equipment and facilities.
- Train and supervise maintenance staff.
- Ensure that all safety regulations are followed.
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment as needed.
- Maintain records of maintenance activities.
