GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
The Customer Service Specialist will work directly with patients and clients of ART Vision and ARTisan Skin and Laser Center in collaboration with the entire team to provide positive and professional front end patient/client interaction and enhance the overall patient experience.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide excellent sales and customer service to patients and clients to answer all patient and client questions, and educate patients and clients on products, services and treatments
- Identify and assess patient and client needs to achieve satisfaction, all while building and maintaining trust with patients and clients through open and interactive communication
- Provide accurate, valid, and complete information by using the right methods/tools, while following communication procedures, guidelines, and policies
- Coordinate patient scheduling
- Direct patient care as directed by providers for both ART Vision and ARTisan Skin and Laser Center patients/clients
- Keep records of customer interactions and process customer accounts
- Greet, communicate with and welcome guests, and provide professional assistance to patients via phone and in-person
- Keep front desk and lobby area clean, tidy and supplied with all the necessary supplies
- Answer all incoming calls, redirect them when needed
- Handle customer complaints, provide appropriate solutions and alternatives within the time limits; follow up to ensure resolution
- Receive letters, packages and send them to appropriate destination
- Prepare and manage outgoing mail
- Check, sort, and forward emails
- Monitor office supplies
- Make supply orders when needed
- Monitor and update records and files
- Scanning insurance claims or other necessary paperwork
- Provide reporting as requested
- Performing office management duties
- Other duties as delegated by the supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
- High School diploma or GED is required.
- BLS certified.
Experience:
- One year of work experience is preferable, ideally in sales and customer service or experience in a medical office setting.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, word processing, procedures and basic bookkeeping practices is preferred.
- Computer experience is required.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 36 – 40 per week
