QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or equivalent required

Prior Scheduling experience: 1 year (required)

Demonstrated experience with insurances, authorizations and referrals,

NextGen experience (preferred)

Strong organizational skills

Demonstrated ability to be punctual and maintain a satisfactory attendance record

Excellent Customer Service skills preferably in a healthcare environment

Strong verbal communication skills

Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks

Ability to calmly and professionally resolve patient issues with diplomacy and tact

Ability to plan, prioritize, and organize work independently with attention to detail with minimal supervision

Walnut Creek, CA: reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

Responsibilities

The Infusion Scheduler position handles complex duties requiring judgment and discretion when scheduling and coordinating treatments. The position effectively communicates and coordinates with physicians to ensure patient treatment needs are met. The position is also responsible for understanding authorization requirements, obtaining authorizations and maintaining Infusion medication supply by ordering appropriately. Ensures all pertinent paperwork for authorizations are completed prior to scheduling infusions. Schedules all infusions once authorizations are received. Reviews each patient on the schedule every day to ensure treatment and follow up appointments are scheduled. Properly communicates with patients prior to appointments to inform them of treatment schedule changes, as needed and when appropriate. Effectively completes other duties and projects assigned.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
