Bioinformatics Engineer

Core Requirements:

• Strong experience with Unix/Linux is required
• Prior experience with Python, Perl, R, or any other programming language is strongly preferred
• Prior experience in applied bioinformatics, computational, and genomics/proteomics areas
• Hands-on open-source and commercial bioinformatics resources and software
• Proficiency in genomic data analysis tools and resources like UCSC Genome Browser, Bioconductor, ENCODE, and NCBI databases preferred
• Understanding of high-throughput technologies and their suitability for specific biological inquiries preferred
• Familiarity with common biological lab techniques and accountability for timelines preferred
• Bachelor s degree in a relevant field of study is required, Master s is preferred
