Qualifications – Construction Estimator

• 3 years’ estimating construction projects in custom home building, home remodeling, or high-end kitchen and bath remodeling.
• Proficient with construction estimating software (i.e. Stack, Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, PlanSwift, Xactimate, etc.) and Excel required.
• Capable of estimating on average 5 – 7 projects per week from $150K to $2M. Full-gut remodeling, historic restoration, commercial TI, or sitework experience are all plusses.

Key Functions Overview: You’ll be involved from lead intake to presenting the estimate to an Owner or potential client. Throughout the process, you'll team up with our CEO/Founder, Preconstruction Manager, or Coordinator, and the assigned Project Manager.

• Project Estimation: Analyze blueprints and specifications, collaborate with architects, engineers, and clients to understand project scope to prepare detailed estimates for residential construction projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
• Budget Management: Develop and maintain project budgets, monitor and track project costs, provide regular updates to project managers and stakeholders, and identify and resolve estimate versus actual cost discrepancies.
• Vendor and Subcontractor Coordination: Source and evaluate quotes from suppliers and subcontractors for competitive pricing, negotiate favorable terms and maintain relationships.
• Proposal Development: Prepare and present detailed proposals and bids to clients, assist in preparing contracts/documents, and support the sales team with cost information and project feasibility analysis.
