The Application Manager, SAP will have direct involvement in the delivery of digital transformation initiatives to the Artivion business using SAP and associated tools and systems to support the company objectives. The Application Manager, SAP will oversee the daily support of SAP initiatives and a proactive management of SAP related controls. The successful candidate is an experienced SAP professional and progressive leader who is self-motivated, who will ensure process coordination across teams, is customer focused, and has an established history of successful process improvement and innovation. This role will be responsible for SAP related SOX compliance activities and administration of the Security modules for SAP
Responsibilities:
- Designs and directs the work of the team. Selects, coaches and develops staff. Sets clear expectations to inspire and motivate the team. Manages performance; recognizing achievement and providing feedback.
- Lead SAP analysts to ensure quality and on-time delivery.
- Lead Change Control process in for SAP ERP and with key business stakeholders.
- Portfolio management of SAP related efforts, including projects, change requests and support requests.
- Create functional and technical specifications for application development objects and manage the development of those objects, partnering with developers, associate BAs and commercial teams.
- Lead SAP ERP Compliance activities dedicated to providing top tier service to our customers.
- Manage compliance and remediation of SAP ERP SOX controls.
- Maintain and foster a sense of urgency within the team and the organization.
- Communicate effectively with all levels of management.
- Responsible for developing and establishing SAP ERP standards and best practices.
- Responsible for administration and documentation of role-based security in SAP.
- Coordinate annual IT SOX audit as it relates to SAP and ensure continuous compliance through updated policies, procedure and proactive monitoring (daily/weekly/monthly).
- Prepares tests for SAP ERP SOX internal control testing, maintain adequate segregation of duties and controls to comply with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.
- Work with Quality Engineering to prepare test scripts while maintaining full traceability between requirements and test cases.
- Lead User Acceptance Testing of SAP configuration changes, enhancements, and upgrades.
- Lead data conversion and data validation efforts for SAP ERP.
- Lead SAP ERP project go-live activities and post go-live support.
- Understand full end-to-end business transaction processing for applications that integrate with SAP ERP.
- Assistance with hands-on day-to-day SAP support and troubleshooting of business user issues.
- Successfully pass monthly, quarterly and annual SOX testing as it relates to SAP ERP
- Maintain proper change control and best practices for SAP platform
- Maintain proper IT controls within the SAP ERP platforms and related SAP Infrastructure areas
- Keep projects on schedule and in scope
- Resolve issues within the required time frame
Qualifications:
- BS in Computer Sciences or equivalent.
- 3 yrs. experience with leading internal SOX Audit activities.
- 2 yrs. experience setting up SAP role based security objects.
- 5 yrs. experience leading IT teams.
- Functional understanding of SAP modules (SD, MM, PP, WM, QM, and FI) and their integration points.
- Project Management and SDLC experience.
- Experience with one or more testing methodologies.
- International experience preferred.
- Experience with acquisitions preferred.
- 5% domestic and international travel
