Artur Express, Inc is seeking a Credit Manager to join the accounting team.

The Credit Manager will manage the entire credit function. They will develop policies and procedures that will minimize the company’s credit risk. They will assess credit worthiness of customers by reviewing credit applications, credit agency reports, and financial statements.

Each customer will be assigned an initial credit limit. Customers’ activity level and payment history will be monitored and credit limits will be revised as needed and warranted. Any credit holds will be promptly reviewed to allow operations to work as efficiently as possible.

The Credit Manager will complete any steps required to enter a new customer into our accounting system. This includes reviewing contracts, providing insurance certificates, and entering the customer into our software.

Other duties will include managing the relationship with outside collection agencies and working with internal collectors on problem accounts.

Responsibilities:

· Conduct credit checks on new customers and set initial credit limits

· Monitor customers’ balances compared to their credit limit

· Create a credit review system that has scheduled review dates based on the

customers’ account balance and risk

· Develop relationships with our customers’ accounting staff

· Work closely with the AR department on collections

· Work closely with collection agencies when needed

· Develop and maintain credit reports

· Assist with other projects in the accounting department

Qualifications:

· Five years of AR, credit, and collections experience

· Ability to analyze credit reports

· Ability to analyze financial statements

· Strong computer skills: Excel, Word, ERP

· Bachelors or Associate Degree in accounting or business preferred

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Business to business credit and collections experience required

· Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
