Position is Monday through Friday 8 am to 5 pm.
Summary:
SUMMARY: Under the supervision and direction of the Loan Manager, the Commercial Loan Manager is responsible for the effective generation, evaluation, approval processing, closing, and servicing of commercial loans. This person must utilize the bank’s available assets to maximize the generation of revenue, profits, deposits, plus other cross-selling opportunities. The incumbent must also protect the bank by providing continual supervision of the loans under his/her accountability. Must be an active participant in civic and public relations activities that provides new business for the bank and further development of relationships with existing customers. The incumbent will be active in marketing all bank loan programs and monitor existing accounts to ensure each account is properly serviced.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Provide integration, effective implementation of and conformance to the commercial lending policies of the bank, thus attaining the following objectives and goals through the extension of loans and credits to existing and new customers:
a. Maximize the bank’s revenues and profits.
b. Through cross selling, generate the sales of other financial services provided by the bank.
c. Minimize loan and credit losses, and maintain same within a targeted level.
d. Contribute to the expansion of the bank’s deposits.
2. Manage commercial loan functions of the Bank. Directly supervise commercial lenders. Assist in structuring loans, setting underwriting, and sales goals for lenders, working problem and past due loans and overseeing overall servicing of portfolio.
3. Develop commercial relationships for which to market Arvest’s products and services to meet current and future needs of clients in accordance with Arvest’s CFB4 process.
4. Maintain an effective working relationship and open communication with clients to enhance knowledge of business condition opportunities and potential risks.
5. Build internal relationships with other departments such as Treasury Management, International Banking, Wealth Management and Equipment Finance to enhance the overall banking relationship ensuring the client’s business objectives are met.
6. Perform ongoing review of portfolio for appropriate customer alignment and focus based on opportunities and market data.
7. Cultivate prospects through client referrals, networking, social media, sales calls and participation in professional organizations, social contacts and relationships built in the community.
8. Analyze current financial information on existing loans for the purpose of conducting periodic reviews to determine the ongoing credit worthiness of clients.
9. Interview and determine desirability of applicants, including gathering all necessary information and making available all relevant information. Decide with the customer the appropriate product for their needs. Detailed knowledge of the many products offered is critical to allow for proper evaluation of all loan products.
10. Underwrite credit requests in a prompt manner. Exercise appropriate discretion daily to analyze data gathered and approve, deny, or recommend alternative products or services.
11. Serve on Senior Loan Committee.
12. Attend various officer meetings, peer group sessions, seminars, training programs, schools, etc.
13. Prepare and present monthly production and financial reports to senior management.
14. Actively participate in civic and public relations activities that provides new business for the bank and further development of relationships with existing customers.
15. Maintain knowledge and adherence to all federal and state regulations and Arvest Loan Policy and Procedures.
16. Respond to and resolve client complaints and/or questions.
17. Understand and comply with bank policy, laws, regulations, and the bank’s BSA/AML Program, as applicable to your job duties. This includes but is not limited to; complete compliance training and adhere to internal procedures and controls; report any known violations of compliance policy, laws, or regulations and report any suspicious customer and/or account activity.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Directly supervise 2 or more associates as assigned by the Manager. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Ensure direct reports have completed required compliance training and are adhering to all internal procedures and controls as it relates to bank policy, laws, regulations and Arvest’s BSA/AML Program. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, appraising performance, rewarding, and disciplining associates. The incumbent has the authority and the appropriate influence to make recommendations regarding hiring, firing, advancement, promotion, or any other change of status of other associates within the guidelines of the bank’s procedures and guidelines for such change of status events. The incumbent provides training, planning, assigning, and directing work assignments and schedules; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
