Position is Monday through Friday 10 am to 7 pm with the ability to work additional hours as needed.
Position is based at 7300 College Blvd, Overland Park, KS, however, incumbent can be located anywhere within the Arvest 4 State Footprint (AR, KS, MO, OK).

SUMMARY: Under the supervision and guidance of the Senior Sales and Production Manager, the CLD Loan Advisor plays a critical role in the successful growth of Arvest Bank. The CLD Loan Advisor is the key point of contact throughout the product delivery cycle. The responsibilities include the use of discovery sessions to fully understand the applicant’s goals, while offering appropriate financial solutions to meet customer needs. The CLD Loan Advisor provides professional customer service to both internal and external customers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Provide exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers.
- Interview customers and assess customer needs, accept consumer loan applications, obtain financial information and purpose for loan; input customer applications into loan software for loan request determination.
- Complete the credit application and underwriting process successfully.
- Facilitate the various components of the application decision process (identity, verification, develop information, cash flow/capacity assessment, credit bureau review, judgmental review, etc.)
- Fully evaluate the status of the consumer. Make a comprehensive credit assessment of the applicant, while establishing an effective and positive business relationship.
- Offer sound credit products and solutions, consistent with the needs of our customers, as well as the credit philosophy and guidelines of the division.
- Negotiate loan terms (loan amount, term, APR) and that provide a solution to the applicant’s need.
- Provide a comprehensive picture of the full features and benefits of the products available, and do so in a manner that is most relevant to the consumer. State relevant benefits in a positive and persuasive manner to each consumer.
- Gain applicant acceptance of the approved loan offer and achieve loan activation.
- Obtain all required information and provide all required disclosures. Provide appropriate documentation and recording throughout the process. Adhere to regulations, policies and procedures.
- Mentor new CLD Loan Advisors as needed.
- Maintain reports as requested by management for volume\trend analysis.
- Understand and comply with bank policy, laws, regulations, and the bank's BSA/AML Program, as applicable to your job duties. This includes but is not limited to; complete compliance training and adhere to internal procedures and controls; report any known violations of compliance policy, laws, or regulations and report any suspicious customer and/or account activity.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or General Education Diploma required.
- 2 years of experience selling products and/or services required.
- Current NMLS Safe Act Registration or the ability to be registered within 30 days required.
- 1 year of experience in a financial services industry or equivalent required.
- Consumer Loan experience preferred.
- Arvest experience preferred.
