Summary:

SUMMARY: The Private Banking Specialist 2 providing full service support to private banking customers, lenders and other team members in private banking. The associate provides a wide variety of bank products to customers with potential for multiple bank relationships. This associate will be fully knowledgeable and proficient in multiple types of lending in addition to deposit products offered in Private Banking. The Private Banking Specialist 2 primary focus is on providing lending support for commercial and/or mortgage functions. The incumbent may also be a Licensed Bank Associate (LBA), depending on location.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES could include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Contribute to achievement of branch sales goals by suggesting products and services that would be of interest to the customer and that would meet their needs; refer customer to appropriate product specialists.
  • Deliver consistent exceptional customer service by displaying sincere, outgoing, and aggressive friendliness. Smiling, acknowledging every customer, introducing yourself, making eye contact, and thanking the customer are all examples.
  • Provide assistance to customers with the loan application process. Coordinate loan requests and process through Arvest Bank – Mortgage Division, Centralized Loan Underwriting department or through the commercial loan processes as required for the various types of loan requests.
  • Close loans for commercial, mortgage and/or consumer loans with customer explaining all pertinent information, as well as any applicable policies or procedures, to customer’s satisfaction.Perform final over view of documents to insure quality.
  • At least annually, obtain the necessary documentation to support ongoing technical exceptions in the loan files.This is required in order to protect the bank’s security interests in the collateral and document the loan file as needed for outstanding loans.
  • Complete customer financial profiles to support private banking qualifications have been met in accordance to policy.
  • Participate in private banking business development program to fully service customers.
  • Answer questions concerning accounts, loans, statements, etc., including but not limited to assisting customers with deposit risk management and day-to-day banking business.
  • Serve as back up for deposit account requests such as opening and closing accounts, handling maintenance/changes, maintain in depth knowledge of products/services, achieve and maintain insurance and annuity licenses if considered necessary by the private banking department within its market, and demonstrate knowledge of policies and procedures, compliance, and Signature.
  • Acknowledge customer complaints and follow policy and procedures for reporting purposes.
  • Understand and comply with bank policy, laws, regulations, and the bank's BSA/AML Program, as applicable to your job duties. This includes but is not limited to; complete compliance training and adhere to internal procedures and controls; report any known violations of compliance policy, laws, or regulations and report any suspicious customer and/or account activity.

Responsibilities:

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • 3 years’ experience as a Loan Assistant and/or Private Banking Specialist required.
  • 5 years’ experience in banking required.
  • Current NMLS SAFE Act Registration or the ability to be registered within 30 days required.
  • Successful completion Fundamentals of Lending or ability to obtain with 90 days required.
  • Arvest experience preferred.

Pay Range: $22.75 - $25.00 per hour
