Overview :

TheNonEmergency Dispatcher & Office Administrator will own allaspects of the transactional logistics schedule and officeresponsibilities for their assigned territory.

They will be a keydecision maker in determining which transportation means is optimalfor both cost and time efficiency. This position will have a directimpact on key performance metrics such as ontime delivery customersatisfaction office management and team planning.

A successful candidate will adhere to all safetypolicies and relevant state and regional laws and regulations. Willmaintain excellent service standards respond efficiently tocustomer inquiries and strive for high customersatisfaction.

Requirements :

  • 2years of work experience preferably in a dispatcher role or similarrole in a dispatching / transportation environment or officeadministrator role
  • A proven work history ofgood attendance is a must
  • Some experience inscheduling route planning andoptimization
  • Familiarity with CRM systems orother contact management platforms(RouteGenie)
  • MS Office / Excel / Word / Outlookexperience
  • TechSavvy
  • Strongcustomer service orientation active listening excellentoral / written communication
  • Ability tofollow directions and meet deadlines in a fastpacedenvironment
  • Experience applyingcreativity to problemsolving
  • Abilityto effectively manage multiple changing priorities in a fastpacedenvironment

KeyResponsibilities :

  • Coordinatingpickup and dropoff times and optimizing routes for efficiency andtimely arrivals. In doing this you will assign routes withconsideration of availability proximity and customerrequirements.
  • You may be the primary point ofcontact for customers and drivers regarding handling any issue thatmay arise involving the drivers or customers so phone etiquette andcustomer service skills areimportant.
  • Effective communication isimportant as you will need to provide drivers and clients with anyupdates or changes in their schedules or pickuptimes.
  • Basic computer skills areimportant as you will utilize software for scheduling anddispatching the trips on a daily as well as proficiency inMicrosoft Word Excel andOutlook.
  • Problemsolving skills are alsoimportant as you will encounter various scheduling changesthroughout the day and these will need to be managed as efficientlyas possible to continue to guarantee our customers excellentservice.
  • The ability to participate in teamworkis important also when the need may arise to provide support orassist coworkers who work directly withyou.
  • Assist the area manager with daily taskswhich may include but are not limited to data entry in ourelectronic recordkeeping system.
