Meat Cutter and Trimmer Tasks & Duties (What You’ll Do)

• Clean, trim, slice, and section carcasses for future processing.

• Cut and trim meat to prepare for packing.

• Inspect meat products for defects, bruises or blemishes and remove them along with any excess fat.

• Process primal parts into cuts that are ready for retail use.

• Separate meats and byproducts into specified containers and seal containers.

• Weigh meats and tag containers for weight and contents.

• Use knives, and other equipment to perform meat cutting and trimming.

Meat Cutter and Trimmer Shift Information

• Monday to Friday 6:00 am to 4:30 pm

Meat Cutter and Trimmer Qualifications (Requirements / Skills)

• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions

• Strong communication skills and desire to work with other team members

• Able to pass a fit for duty assessment.

• Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.

• Able to pass a background check.

• Able to work in the US.
