Database Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Database Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in database management, programming, and analysis, with specific expertise in Oracle and SQL Server environments. This role requires a proactive individual who can efficiently manage and execute database-related tasks, troubleshoot and resolve system errors, and contribute to process automation and improvement.

Key Qualifications:

• Experience: At least three years of hands-on experience with Oracle PL/SQL and SQL Server T-SQL programming, including stored procedures, functions, triggers, scheduled jobs, and database links.
• Database Knowledge: Solid understanding of Oracle and SQL Server relational databases, with experience in both On-Line Transaction Processing (OLTP) and Decision Support System (DSS).
• Scripting Skills: Minimum of two years of experience in developing and maintaining UNIX shell scripts.
• Automation Proficiency: Two years of experience with process automation using Python (version 2/3) or PowerShell (version 7 or greater).
• Version Control: Two years of experience with version control management tools, preferably GIT.
• Agile Development: Familiarity with agile development practices, specifically the SCRUM framework, with at least two years of experience.
• CI/CD Pipeline: Two years of experience in Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) delivery pipeline.
• Container Technology: At least one year of experience in container and container orchestration technology, including Docker and Kubernetes.
• Service Incident Reporting: Two years of experience in Service Incident Reporting using multiple concurrent systems.

Responsibilities:

• Programming: Provide daily T-SQL and PL/SQL programming as specified in work tickets assigned by the Department.
• Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and document resolutions to correct system errors on a daily basis, in line with work tickets assigned by the Department.
• Database Code Creation: Create and test database code daily to perform system functions as defined in system enhancement tickets, following the specifications in the assigned work tickets.
• Reporting and Analysis: Provide reports, analytical research, and communications to management daily, as specified in the work tickets assigned by the Department.
• Data Security and Confidentiality: Comply at all times with all Department data security procedures and policies in the performance of this scope of work as specified in the Data Security and Confidentiality document attached to the purchase order.
