About the Role:

Job Title: Developer

Project Summary:

• Ascendion is looking for a Developer in Chicago, IL. This is a hybrid role and we need a candidate with strong SQL programming as well as some healthcare claims experience. Responsibilities:

• Perform unit acceptance testing of solutions developed by IT team. Perform post-implementation verification after project deployment.


• Write SQL queries to illustrate the issue or test the solutions. Assist in the documentation of business processes.


• Develop and maintain optimized data warehouses. Design and develop data warehouses on Teradata using utilities such as Fast Load, Multi Load, Fast export, BTEQ.


• Use SQL programming (DDLs, DMLs, aggregate/window aggregate/ordered analytical functions) in the creation and maintenance of the data mart.

Qualifications:

• Advanced SQL programming skills.


• Experience with Teradata or other database systems.


• Experience in database design/development, database administration, and business intelligence


• Experience in data analysis and analytical reporting.


• Proficiency with advanced Excel features and techniques; VBA skills desired


• Familiarity with agile/scrum or other project methodologies

Location: Chicago, IL (3 days onsite a week)

Salary Range: The salary for this position is between $80,000 $85,000 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
