About the role:
Job Title: Mainframe Developer
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain applications using Micro Focus Enterprise Developer.
- Able to write or design software that extends the capabilities of the Micro Focus Enterprise Server/Developer products at the component level, commonly known as FDS’.
- Technology solutions are correct, resilient, and scalable.
- Leads reviews of architecture, design, operations, process, or post-incident analysis for your software.
- Troubleshoots difficult problems and identifies root causes arising from the interaction of systems.
- Ensure that any newly developed code meets AWS quality standards and is functionally aligned with customer needs. Code requirements include ensuring all code is:
- Written in accordance with the COBOL coding standards and best practices.
- Maintainable, readable and efficient.
- Thoroughly tested and documented.
- Free of errors and any bugs are fixed.
- Optimized for performance.
- Secure and follows industry security standards.
- Properly structured and organized.
- Compatible with other applications and systems.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Experience in Modernization
- Experience with Cobol.
- Experience with programming languages like Python or Java
- Experience with Mainframe/Cob0l
Location: Remote in Canada and USA
Salary Range: The salary for this position is between $1,52,000 – $1,62,000 annually. Factors that may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
