About the Role:
Job Title: Lead Java Full Stack Developer
Job Description:
- We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Java Full Stack Developer to join our dynamic team.
- The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both front-end and back-end development, with expertise in Java, Angular or React, and a proven track record of delivering high-quality, scalable applications.
- This role requires a balanced experience of 50% front-end and 50% back-end development.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of full-stack applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features.
- Mentor and guide junior developers, providing technical leadership and direction.
- Develop and maintain high-quality code, ensuring best practices and coding standards are followed.
- Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Design and implement RESTful APIs and integrate them with front-end applications.
- Ensure the responsiveness and performance of applications.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure our solutions are up-to-date.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Skills:
- 9 years of experience in software development, with a strong focus on full-stack development.
- Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and Spring MVC.
- Extensive experience with front-end technologies, specifically Angular or React.
- Solid understanding of web technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, TypeScript).
- Experience with relational and non-relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
- Hands-on experience with microservices architecture and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Location: Richmond, VA / McLean, VA (Hybrid)
Salary Range: The salary for this position is between $140,000 – $150,000 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
