About the Company : South Florida asset manager / hedge fund specializing in a broad range of fixed income, foreign currency, and equity investments globally, is seeking a highly analytical, detail-oriented professional to join our growing team as a Middle Office and Treasury Specialist in our Boca Raton office.
This position will report to the Treasurer and split time supporting all traders on the rates desk and have responsibility for performing daily collateral management duties.
This role will provide the opportunity to interact with all areas of the firm on a regular basis including Operations, Trading, Risk, Legal, and Accounting.
Responsibilities :
- Trade support for all trades executed by the rates desk including instrument setup and maintenance, account and strategy creation, tagging, and booking
- Ensure trade recaps are accurate, liaising with traders and counterparties to resolve discrepancies
- Provide daily trade allocations and give up information to counterparties
- Affirm all eligible trades are legally confirmed on Marketwire
- Facilitate novations directly on Marketwire or by initiating paper confirms via email with counterparties
- Track all fund allocations to be reviewed by compliance on a monthly basis
- Work with Operations to assist in resolving trade breaks, payment discrepancies, provide trade recaps, etc
- Daily responsibility for settling margin relating to FCMs, bilateral ISDAs and Repo
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- Experience with Fixed Income, Equity, FX, Cleared Derivatives, OTC traded products strongly preferred.
- Must be able to multitask and quickly switch focus
- Ability to think and perform under pressure
- Excellent problem solving skills
- High focus on quickly resolving issues and providing responses
- Strong communication skills
- Advanced MS Excel skills a plus
- Experience with Bloomberg, SQL, MarketWire, TradeServ, TriOptima is a plus
Pay range and compensation package : $100,000 to $125,000 Base
