Responsibilities
The Resource Group, a subsidiary of Ascension, is a business transformation services organization that specializes in resource and supply chain management. This internship falls within The Resource Group's Strategic Sourcing Solution which focuses on contracting for the supplies and services that meet the criteria determined by caregivers. This group also continuously develops innovative approaches to contracting to further drive savings. Throughout the 12-week experience, interns will work on unique personal projects, collaborate with other interns to solve organizational challenges, and learn new business & professional skills. - Learn price negotiation and contracting term negotiation from members of the Sourcing Community
- Learn The Resource Group’s process for end-user engagement throughout the contract life cycle from members of the Contract Design Community
- Provide continuous improvement opportunities through review and analysis of data, market trends, benchmarking best practices, and general market awareness
- Develop and communicate reports related to critical business matters
- Provide regular updates on category strategies and supplier relationship management programs, including key performance metrics and status of process improvement initiatives
- Support special projects and process improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with eSourcing team along with Contract Design and Sourcing to develop Request for Information (RFI) or Request for Proposal (RFP)
Requirements
Education:
- High school diploma equivalency OR Enrolled in accredited program specific to discipline required.
Additional Preferences
- College Junior year and above (ie, Business, Business Administration, Management)
- Project Management experience
- Comfortable working in a fast paced, changing environment
- Outstanding communication (written & oral) & organizational skills
- Experience with Google Sheets & Slides
