Job Summary:
Responsible for product owner tasks for the Wideband Global Satellite Communications (SATCOM)
(WGS) F11 Global SATCOM Configuration Control Element (GSCCE) DevSecOps agile product team. As a
product owner on the DevSecOps F11 team, a successful candidate is responsible for tasks that include
defining user stories, creating the team's backlog, performing as the primary point of contact on behalf
of the customer to identify product requirements for the DevSecOps team, and prioritize the backlog
based on customer requirements. Additionally, a successful candidate will communicate with the
DevSecOps team to explain product features, maximize the value addition of the products developed by
the team, and ensure user stories meet customer requirements. The successful candidate also
collaborates and works closely with various stakeholders, including customers, development teams,
project managers, and other stakeholders.
WGS F11 is a next-generation military satellite communications (MILSATCOM) system that extends the
existing WGS constellation. GSCCE is the command and control (C2) system responsible for telemetry,
command, and control (TT&C) of the WGS constellation. The result of the capabilities added to GSCCE
during this project will ensure the user can complete C2 functions of the new WGS F11 satellite,
ensuring the user has access to SATCOM resources.
Required Qualifications:
- Ability to obtain a U.S. Government SECRET security clearance (requires U.S. Citizenship)
- Familiarization with DoD systems and subsystems (e.g., command and control (C2) systems,
- Experience working as a product owner within an agile system development framework,
- Ability to isolate and resolve complex problems, identify workarounds, and implement and
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple demonstration events at the same
- Excellent verbal, written, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently as well as within a team
- Proficiency with M.S. Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Current U.S. Government SECRET security clearance (required U.S. Citizenship)
- A knowledge base of Wideband SATCOM C2 systems
- Experience with SATCOM systems, products, and interfaces
- Certification in one or more agile development methods
- Familiarity with other engineering disciplines (systems, hardware, test, configuration
Educational Requirements:
- Engineer Level 3: Bachelor's degree and seven or more years of relevant experience, Master's
degree and four or more years of relevant experience
- Engineer Level 4: Bachelor's degree and 12 or more years of experience, Master's with nine or
more years of experience
(Degrees must be from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, or
physics)
In compliance with Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this position is $95,000
to $132,000. Ascension Engineering Group considers factors such as work experience, education, key
