Come join our Sterile Processing team at Ascension Providence Hospital, Southfield Campus!
Scheduled Hours: FT Rotating - This associate will work 40 hours per week, with rotating hours based on the need of the unit.
Shift: Afternoon 2:30 pm to 11:00 pm
What You Will Do
Coordinate activities and tasks in support of surgical and central sterile services.
- Coordinate shift operations including scheduling, assigned activities, and resources
- Serve as a technical or functional resource for staff and perform similar duties.
- Assign, monitor and review progress of work. Monitor and report compliance with policies and procedures.
- Oversee and evaluate orientation and training of assigned associates. May provide input in the review and evaluation of staff performance.
- Oversee utilization and maintenance of supplies, instruments, and equipment.
What You Will Need
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) preferred.
- Central Service Tech credentialed from the International Association of Healthcare Central Service Material Management (IAHCSMM) preferred.
- Registered Nurse credentialed from the Michigan Board of Nursing preferred.
- Surgical Tech credentialed from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) preferred.
Education:
- High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Technical degree required.
Additional Preferences
Prioir experience in Sterile Processing preferred.
