This role falls within The Resource Group's Strategic Sourcing Solution. The Strategic Sourcing Solution is a discipline-based model that uses collaboration to deliver savings and end-user satisfaction. Instead of contracting for resources and supplies end-users may or may not want to use, communities within The Resource Group's Strategic Sourcing Solution take a different approach and focus contracting for the supplies and services that meet the criteria determined by caregivers.

 

As a Manager, Sourcing, you will facilitate and direct the legal review, negotiation, and completion of contracts. The Sourcing Manager advances the development of contracting strategies within their assigned scope. The role negotiates contracts to provide cost-effective strategic solutions that are consistent, dependable, and clinically acceptable. Reporting to the Sourcing Director, the Sourcing Manager works with The Resource Group leadership to ensure that supply chain processes are consistent with larger strategies. The Manager collaborates closely with their counterparts in The Resource Group Contract Design community, Legal, and other areas of the organization. The Sourcing Manager aids in the professional development of Sourcing Agents and serves as a point of escalation in negotiations. The role works with the eSourcing team to explore new strategies to drive additional value in contracting.

Responsibilities 

  • Works collaboratively with Contract Design counterparts to form category negotiation strategies
  • Negotiate pricing and contract terms and conditions to minimize risk for all healthcare Participants
  • Ensures consistent and defendable sourcing strategies and supporting supply chain processes are in place and properly administered in compliance with all regulations and policies
  • Perform contract management and maintenance including amendments, extension of terms, and product additions and removals
  • Review and analyze sourcing data, market trends, benchmarking best practices, and maintain market awareness to provide continuous improvements for sourcing strategies
  • Develop and facilitate collaborative working relationships with Finance, Corporate Risk, Legal, Contract Design and Implementation teams through communications and timely reporting of changes in critical business matters
  • Provide regular updates on category strategies and supplier relationship management programs, including key performance metrics and status of process improvement initiatives 
  • Manages Sourcing Agent resources through assignment of work, evaluations, and coaching
  • Reviews monthly financial analysis, evaluation of market share and committed program agreement opportunities, and works with Participants to maximize program benefits
  • Represents The Resource Group in interactions with the supplier community

 


Requirements

Education:

  • High School diploma equivalency with 3 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree with 2 years of cumulative experience OR 7 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
  • 3 years of leadership or management experience preferred.

Additional Preferences

-At least three years of applicable experience with strong negotiation skills demonstrated across a range of supplier and commercial goods 

-Healthcare setting experience preferred
