Responsibilities

Responsibilities
  • Can perform analysis of current and future data assets for the organization with a focus on healthcare data both clinical and operational in nature
  • Analyze and recommend strategies based on changing business needs for a supported area. 
  • Advises management on approaches to optimize business success. 
  • Participates in evaluations of applicability of leading edge technologies and uses information to significantly influence future business strategy.
  • Analyzes complex business and competitive issues and discerns the implications for systems support.
  • Identifies, defines, directs, and performs project issue analysis to resolve issues, including analysis of the technical and economic feasibility of proposed data solutions.
  • Perform analysis on select tools and methodologies for projects as requested by solution architects.
  • Develops partnerships with senior users to understand business needs and define future data requirements.
  • Able to effectively communicate highly technical information to numerous audiences, including senior management, the user community, and less-experienced staff. 
  • Leads the development of effective networks of internal and external customers, suppliers, the technical community and consultants. 
  • Contributes to the organization's planning for the future of the data model and data architecture. 
  • Participates in the continual analysis of the organization's data model and/or transition to a common model. 
  • Participates in projects required to support the development or the organization's data infrastructure needs and provides intelligence on advances in database technologies.
  • Identifies and defines project issue analysis to resolve issues, including analysis of the technical and economic feasibility of proposed data solutions with the direction of solution architects.
  • Familiar with a modern MPP data warehouse and data lake
  • Perform analysis in collaboration with Solution Architects  in architecting data warehouse solutions, including a strong background in Data Architecture, Data Modeling, Data Governance
  • Perform analysis on data pipelines and streaming integrations with application databases, API’s, and vendors
  • Transform complex customer business requirements into effective, efficient, and maintainable enterprise-level solutions
 
Technical and General Skills  
  • Minimum of 1 years experience in (Conceptual, Logical, Physical) Data Modeling
  • Understanding of microservices framework
  • Minimum of 2 years working with relational databases - MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle
  • Understanding of cloud technologies – CloudSQL, Pub/Sub, Kafka, or equivalent
  • Proficient level of SQL knowledge
  • Good professional experience with architecting data warehouses in Redshift/BigQuery or comparable technologies
  • Master Data Management, ERP, Salesforce experience preferred
  • Understanding of building data lifecycle solutions in at least one of the follow technologies: Data Lake, Data Warehouse, Data Marts, ODS, ELT and ETL, Stream/real-time/Batch processing, CDC, etc.
  • Understanding on API Domain Driven Design, Service Orchestration, Microservices concepts, REST and SOAP services etc.
  • Strong communication, presentation and written skills
  • Superior critical thinking, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer science or related discipline

  • Effectively communicate highly technical information to numerous audiences, including senior management, the user community, and less-experienced staff.
  • Develop partnerships with senior users to understand business needs and define future data requirements.

Requirements

Education:

  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
