What are the responsibilities and job description for the 401(k) Benefit Educator position at Ascensus?

Our highly qualified professionals help companies meet their enrollment goals efficiently and effectively, while helping employees understand their plan, appreciate their options, and prepare for a comfortable retirement.
Do you have experience in 401(k) or 403(b) plans? If so, our positions are 1099 contract positions with short-term temporary assignments which provide supplemental income only. The assignments are on an as needed basis, and demand varies throughout the year. Bilingual (English/Burmese) educators are needed to conduct employee meetings, webinars and benefit fairs nationwide.
401(k) Responsibilities
- Demonstrate knowledge and command of the employee benefits industry and recent updates/legislation/changes
- Establish and maintain good, professional relationships with employer and client (recordkeeper) contacts
- Educate employees on all aspects of their 401(k) or other qualified retirement plan
- Demonstrate composure in presenting to small/medium sized audiences
401(k) Requirements
- 3 years of experience explaining employee benefits with a background in benefits, finance/investments
- Personal laptop with a webcam
- Flexible schedule with the ability to take short notice assignments
- Able to work in an indoor or outdoor environment
- Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft PowerPoint experience
- Experience with presenting via telepresence (webinar) technology desired
- Ability to occasionally carry boxes up to 20lbs or stand for long periods of time
- Ability to travel up to 200 miles and/or travel by air to other states is a plus
