Full Time Activity Director
Job Requirements-
Meet at least one of the following criteria
-Degree and certification as a therapeutic recreation specialist
-Certified Activity Director by the National Certification Council for Activity Professionals
-Two years experience in a social recreational program within the past five years
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop cognitive, physical, social and spiritual programs that promote each residents’ quality of life
- Develop, lead and facilitate recreational programs appropriate for small and large groups, and one-on-one that promote resident satisfaction
- Plan, organize and implement resident outings and special events
- Develop, lead and facilitate intergenerational programs
- Create and distribute a monthly activity calendar
- Facilitate monthly Resident Council Meetings
- Tastefully decorate the community for holidays and events
- Plan and host community events for residents and families, coordinating with other departments
- Identify and coordinate a group of community volunteers for life enrichment activities
- Order life enrichment supplies within department budget
- Ability to inspire and motivate staff through consistent leadership, supervision and coaching
- Promote positive relationships with residents, staff and visitors
