Doing what is right for the Warfighter is reflected in everything we do. We have an opportunity for an In-Service Engineer to provide IT support to the P-8 Training Integrated Product Team (IPT). This position is based at our customer site at NAS Jacksonville, FL.
In this role, your responsibilities will include:
- Analyzing and assessing Engineering Change Proposals (ECP), Technical Equipment Change Directives (TECDs), Training Equipment Change Requests (TECRs), and other requirements documents to determine the validity, feasibility, resource requirements, and any potential impact to the training systems
- Assisting the Government with acceptance testing ranging from small modifications to full complex training systems
- Performing and documenting software cold starts and other related system testing
- Assisting in reviewing Contractor Data Deliverables (CDRL items) and internal software work products
- Monitoring and participating in the software Physical Configuration Audit. Monitor the software configuration management process applied and work products generated in the training system
- Assisting in the analysis of potential hardware and/or software requirements for modifications on training systems in the operational phase of the training system
- Assisting in updating the content of training systems' technical data affected by modifications, maintaining and providing physical and configuration control of documentation, data, and media in the technical library
- Providing support in developing and maintaining software/hardware and technical data configuration management policies and procedures
- Implementing the configuration management procedures established in the Government ISEOs Configuration Management Plan for identification, evaluation, documentation, and control of P-8 training system modifications
- Other responsibilities may be required based on the needs of the government customer
Requirements
Education, Skills, and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline or computer science is required
- At least three (3) years of practical experience in software development is required
- Security certification desired
- Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with internal and external customers
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proactive personality with the ability to work with limited guidance and supervision
- Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Excellent organizational skills, adept at managing competing priorities and initiating projects

- This position requires U.S. citizenship and an active DoD Secret clearance.
