What You'll Do:
As the Network Engineer, you will support an innovative NAVAIR program that directly supports our Warfighter. This is a 100% on-site position based at NAS Fallon, NV.
Responsibilities will include:
- Implementing operating systems and network device security configuration in accordance with Defense Information Systems
Agency (DISA) approved Security Technical Implementation Guides - Specifying, configuring, and administering boundary devices (i.e., managed switches, proxy servers, routers, firewalls, cryptography, and intrusion detection systems); managing remote switches and routing
- Performing vulnerability assessments using Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS), Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG), the Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP) Compliance Checker, incorporating automated Benchmarks
- Correcting flaws and implementing technical controls in the hardware or software installed within the network environment
- Managing, architecting, and implementing physical networks to include logical need-to-know separation between data
Requirements
Who You Are:
- You hold a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, or a related STEM degree
- You have at least 6 years of experience as a network engineer/architect and computer systems administrator. *If no degree is held, 12 years of experience as an IT technician on DoD classified networks will be required.
- You have 6 years of experience using the DoD Information Assurance Vulnerability Management Program (IAVMP)
- You have working knowledge of Ethernet, Fiber Distributed Data Interface (FDDI), TCP/IP, CISCO IOS, Inside Plant (ISP), and Outside Plant (OSP)
- You have demonstrated proficiency with Visio for LNDs
- Bonus if you have experience with Multi-Level Security
- Knowledge of basic networking sets such as CCNA or equivalent and experience/training with CISCO NX-OS
- You possess DoD Approved Baseline Certification as Information Assurance Technical Level (IAT) II in accordance with DoD 8570.01-M, (i.e., GSEC, Security CE, SCP and Vendor certification and IT Training Provider certificate for network environment main operating system)

Security Clearance Requirements:
- This position requires U.S. citizenship and an active DoD Top Secret clearance. Selected candidate will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
