Immediate need for a Manufacturing / Mechanical Engineer for an industry leader in Charlotte, North Carolina. World class organization that is established and growing is looking to add another Engineer to work in their manufacturing environment.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plans, develops, coordinates, and directs engineering projects
- Develops, evaluates, and improves manufacturing methods, product design, materials, tooling, and production equipment capabilities
- Installation and debug of tooling and capital equipment
- Responsible for following quality systems procedures, as required
- Works with vendors to improve components specifications used in the manufacturing of product
- Use SPC techniques to improve and control productivities and other activities related to production
- Analyzes and plans workflow and designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency
EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SKILLS
- Prior experience of a least three years in a Manufacturing Environment
- Four-year Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent with a concentration in a field related to Manufacturing but not required
- Tooling systems and machining knowledge. PLC programming experience. AutoCAD or equivalent CAD program, and Microsoft Project.
