Job Title: Construction Manager
Reports To: Sr. Manager
Job Purpose:
The construction manager will be responsible for the overall management of assigned construction
projects, through to acceptance of the job by ASG client(s).
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the daily operations of in-house and subcontractor
construction/installation crews. The oversight/management of these crews will be during the planning stages, walk outs, installation, construction and final approval of all project related services ASG provides to its telecom clients.
- Identify qualified subcontractors as needed for job assignments.
- Develop initial budgetary cost estimates and responsible for their department Profit and Loss.
- Get approval, preferably in writing, of all budgetary estimates prior to starting job.
- Responsible for the cost management of all components of the project.
- Confirm all necessary documentation and approvals have been acquired and in hand prior to starting the job.
- Construction Managers are expected to reward, manage, and discipline employees, when necessary.
- Construction Project Managers are expected to see the safety and security of all employees
- Responsible for ensuring job is completed on schedule.
- Responsible to make sure workmanship meets/exceeds quality standards.
- Address and get approval from client for all design changes and cost changes based on new design.
- Communicate ALL changes to the client.
- Communicate and get necessary approval(s) from building ownership for all design changes as appropriate.
- Acquire all permits as/when necessary.
- Review and approve all contractor payment requests/invoices.
- Submit all billing as specified and in a timely manner.
- Attend client meetings as needed.
- Attend meetings on behalf of client when requested by client.
- Act as a resource for dispute resolution.
- Coordinate close out and “punch list.”
- Visit job site location(s) on daily basis.
- Responsible for the Contribution Margin (CM) of the discipline.
- Learn, understand and promote, the ASG Pillars of Success
- Make sure all jobs are entered correctly into the ASG Flow system.
Qualifications:
- Construction Manager will need to travel daily within a local geographic area. Travel is daily to visit job sites. (90%). On occasion for special projects or to attend company approved meetings travel outside normal area will be required. (10%)
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite of products.
- Excellent verbal, written, phone, and interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to drive an ASG vehicle
Working Conditions:
Work hours will be dictated by the needs of the business for client related project schedules. Mostly field working conditions to oversee project progress.
Physical Requirements:
Walking, standing, driving and travel by the most efficient method available.

Pay Definition/Metrics: Exempt- Salaried

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
