JOB DESCRIPTION
The ASG President will be a leader of leaders who deeply loves to develop people and businesses into their highest potential. The main role of ASG President will be to function as Board Lead for 6-8 companies driving CEOs and their businesses to achieve exceptional growth. You will be responsible for partnering with your CEOs and their teams to set a strategic vision, managing through operational decisions, and nurturing the maturity that happens while businesses grow at ASG. The ASG President will be responsible for the ultimate success of businesses and CEOs they oversee.
The ASG President will also be a key member of the ASG Leadership Team, alongside ASG’s CEO, CFO, CTO and Head of M&A, providing functional input and leadership to drive future strategy for the collective ASG business and HoldCo team. You will be a key partner to ASG’s CEO in leading ASG’s Leadership Community rhythm including monthly and annual programming, developing a community of 30 leaders to be the next generation of extraordinary software CEOs.

- Be a key member of the ASG leadership team with cross functional input on driving future strategy for acquiring and growing vertical SaaS businesses
- Be an active Board Lead for 6-8 rapidly growing SaaS businesses within our community including developing CEOs, managing monthly board rhythm, monitoring company performance, setting a vertical strategy to ensure alignment across companies, leaders and ASG.
- Coach, develop, and grow CEOs into exceptional software leaders - be an always on resource for your CEOs to guide through operational challenges, setting strategic vision, and growth investments. “Be in their corner”.
- Be an active leader of our Board Management rhythm and a conduit to each company you oversee including monthly board meetings and 1:1s and monitoring monthly performance of the businesses and your CEOs.
- Be responsible for the ultimate success of CEOs and businesses you oversee.
- Be a student of your markets - own the vertical strategy where you are Board Lead, understand the competitive landscape, growth opportunities, and the exit strategy of each vertical.
- Be the conduit between the ASG leadership team and your businesses/CEOs. “Have a pulse” and “knows your numbers” on every business and CEO under your purview.
- Partner with ASG’s CEO to lead our rapidly growing Leadership Community rhythm including monthly and annual programming
- Be a leader of leaders.

- You are a prior CEO of a successful B2B SaaS business
- Prior investing experience preferred

- Played a leading role in setting company and function strategy
- Track record of leading a winning team, holds incredibly high standards and demands excellence of those around them
- Have immense intellectual curiosity - constantly questioning the way things work, and how to improve them
- History of leading people and demonstrated followership.
- Demonstrates independent thinking skills with strong communication skills to influence
- Grasps and leverages all core SaaS metrics (MRR, rev & customer retention, LTV/CAC, S&M efficiency, etc) to lead and make decisions
- Thinks as a capital allocator (strategic level finance decisions)
- Fluency in the business of private equity and how we look at returns -- ROI, IRR, key debt terms, etc
- Experience managing through adversity
- Can digest and asses information quickly, a master at context switching
- Outstanding steward of company culture
- Comes up with their own ideas & recommendations and brings a unique perspective
- Evidence of championing, pursuing, and executing on own ideas; not merely a doer
Minimum requirements:
- Prior CEO role required, preferably in a SaaS business
- Prior investing experience preferred
- Track record of leading a winning team and mentoring others
- Track record of board management
Base Salary Range: The target base salary range for this position is ($300,000k - $350,000), and is part of a competitive total rewards package including an annual performance bonus, an exciting long term incentive plan, employer-paid benefits, and L&D stipend. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations. We review all employee pay and compensation programs annually at minimum to ensure competitive and fair pay.
