Technical Solutions Architect- Remote (Full-Time) opportunity (Federal Govt)

Position: Technical Solutions Architect

Job Description:

ASG is seeking a Technical Architect in support of the Department of Education FSA office.

What You Will Do: 

• Participate in Design Review meetings, take notes, and ask questions for further clarification to conduct an Alternative of Analysis (AoA) of the solution.
• Review Solution Design Documents and provide comments related to:

              o    Quality & Completeness of the document

              o    Technical Gaps & Clarifications

• Share & Review comments with the team and customer as needed.
• Transfer the final list of comments to a new Technical Quality Control (TQC) Excel Workbook, the main deliverable for solution evaluation. 
• TQC includes a list of Factors & Sub-Factors (criteria) by which a solution is assessed.  Give the sub-factor a score on a scale of 0 – 4. For score of 1, 2 or 4, supporting details must be provided, including reviewer COMMENTS and Recommended ACTION ITEMS.

Requirements

 What We Need:

• Bachleor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• Minumum of five (5) years of hands-on experience designing and implementing IT solutions utilizing formal Life Cycle Management Methodology.
• Understanding of cloud computing (AWS), systems architecture, and IT security.
• Ability to provide oversight and support for technical design gate reviews.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong customer relationship management skills.
• Detail-oriented document review skills & Office skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.

Even Better:

Familiarities and/or experiences with 1 or more of the following: 

• Cloud Architecture, Technology and Services (especially AWS).
• Security Architecture (Identity Management IAM, OAuth / OIDC, etc.).
• Cloud Native Application Design & Architecture (i.e. Containerized Service Components and Container Orchestration Platforms like Kubernetes for distributed architecture).
• Data Management and Analytics services in AWS.
• Familiarity with DevSecOps and CI/CD automation.
• API Design, Management & Microservices Architecture.
• Solution Architecture with AoA background.
• Experience supporting government technical proposals.
