What are the responsibilities and job description for the Junior Analyst position at Ashby Ponds?

SUMMARY: Serves as community liaison for resident inquiries/issues related to accounts receivable and billing. Performs reviews of resident files and admission paperwork including data entry of admission information into billing/census software. Maintains daily census data and performs research as needed. Processes accounts payable invoices and manages cash deposits. Performs special projects as assigned.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Accounts Receivable and Billing: 50% / 5

· Performs customer service for residents, serving as Community accounts receivable contact for resident billing.

· Independently handles day-to-day resident billing inquiries.

· Processes resident monthly statements.

· Works with the finance department, other Community departments, and outside vendors to resolve resident billing issues that are often sensitive or confidential in nature.

  • Resident Profile Management (Vision Software) and Resident File Management (Paper Files): 20% / 4

· Completes audit of new resident files through use of audit checklist. Management, maintenance, and responsibility of all resident files.

· Data entry of admission information and completing ongoing updates as needed of resident profiles/information into Vision software.

  • Census Management: 15% / 5

· Maintains and updates daily Vision census, and performs research to ensure accuracy of census data.

  • Supporting Finance Department: 10% / 3

· Handles special projects as assigned by Director of Finance/Community Financial Analyst, such as generating G/L reports, analyzing G/L detail, composing and sending letters to residents/vendors, and assisting with budget process.

5. Other: 5% / 2

· Processes accounts payable invoices and manages cash deposits.

  • Other duties and responsibilities as determined by the Director of Finance including special projects.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Proficient in Microsoft office products, Strong Computer Skills, Verbal and Written Communication Skills, Customer Service Skills, Time Management, Organization

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

· High school diploma or GED required.

· College degree with coursework in accounting/business preferred.

· Demonstrated customer service skills required.

· Experience with a Census Management Software/Tool is a plus.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: N/A

· AOC has taken on an informal supervisory position with regards to the financial functions for the Admin Assistant.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Must be able to read, write, understand and communicate in the English language.

ROUTINE DECISION-MAKING:

Decisions related to Resident Billing

· Routine Decision-Making- at OCV this position is consistently making decision on behalf of the finance office with FD consultation.

o This position has managed training for new ERP and community department role out

o Manages communication to resident population regarding billing and seasonal updates

o Very integral in decision making with regards Dining flex meal program

o Refund updates

o ACH promotion and implementation

o 3rd party billing transfer approvals
