The successful HVAC Lead Installer candidate will have 2-4 years of experience installing various residential systems of increasing difficulty. This is a non-exempt position, reporting to the Install Manager.

Up to $20k Signing Bonus (for the well-qualified candidate)

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Serve existing accounts by analyzing and performing on work orders; gather components, parts, and tools to complete installation
  • Install new heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems
  • Install ducts
  • Install insulation
  • Properly connect gas lines to heating equipment
  • Pre-measure jobs to identify proper materials required for install
  • Receive, verify and load all equipment and materials needed for each job
  • Inspect and perform equipment repairs and replacements
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance
  • Maintain rapport with customers, communicate details of work being performed and educate on use of new system(s)
  • Document service and installation by completing applicable forms, reports, logs, and/or records
  • Complete all tasks in accordance with Service Champions quality and safety standards
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities (internal and/or external)
  • Meet quality metrics and maintain an advanced installation skill set in duct work, advanced and complicated installations, and client satisfaction
  • Required to train Install Apprentices through the HVAC installation process
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Basic mechanical ability
  • Ability to install residential package units split systems; knowledge of ductless systems is a bonus
  • Ability to design ducting systems
  • Ability to work with high degree of integrity and promote positive company image
  • Analytical, focused on quality, and results-driven
  • Ability to understand and follow oral and written directions
  • Excel within a team environment and willing to support all areas of our business
  • Satisfactory passing of mandatory pre-employment drug screen and background check
  • Valid driver's license, with minimal DMV infractions
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • Work is performed in and/or around residential properties (attic, garage, crawl space, roof)
  • Moderate physical effort is required, including standing, squatting, and sitting for extended periods of time.
  • Occasional exposure to physical risks such as heat in excess of 100 degrees, sun exposure, walking up ladders in excess of thirty feet, along with exposure to insects, rodents, and sewage
  • Regularly lift and/or move objects 10-75lbs
  • Frequently ascend/descend ladder and maintain balance
  • Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception
