Job Summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic and service-oriented Waiter/Waitress to join our team. This role is essential in providing an outstanding dining experience for our guests, from the moment they arrive to the completion of their meal.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and seat guests promptly, warmly, and professionally.
• Present menus, answer questions, and make suggestions regarding food and beverage options.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders and communicate them effectively to kitchen staff.
• Serve food and drinks to guests and attend to their needs throughout the dining experience.
• Maintain a thorough knowledge of the menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and unique flavors of Szechuan cuisine.
• Process guest payments efficiently and accurately.
• Ensure cleanliness and proper setup of tables and dining areas.
• Address and resolve any guest concerns with courtesy and professionalism.
• Work collaboratively with kitchen staff and other team members to ensure smooth operation and guest satisfaction.
• Uphold the restaurant's high standards of quality and service.

Qualifications

• Fluent in Mandarin Chinese and English is required.
• Previous experience as a waiter/waitress or in a similar customer service role is preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A passion for food and delivering exceptional guest service.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Knowledge of Szechuan cuisine is a plus but not required.

Compensation

• This position is primarily compensated through tips. In the event that monthly tips do not reach $5,000, Asian Bistro will supplement the difference to ensure a minimum monthly compensation of $5,000.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $2,000.00 - $2,800.00 per month

Expected hours: 25 – 40 per week
