What are the responsibilities and job description for the Designer Co-Op position at ASICS Digital?

ASICS Digital creates cutting-edge consumer facing content for the ASICS brand. We are currently seeking a mid-level digital design student to join our team. The ideal candidate is passionate about digital creative and can work collaboratively to solve design problems by presenting ideas and concepts for a variety of channels. This digital asset creation will be in support of ASICS multi-sport shoe and apparel categories.
As a member of the creative team, this designer will play a vital role in successfully integrating the ASICS brand across digital touchpoints. The role will be a part of an in-house creative team supporting our global ASICS network. The ideal candidate can execute projects quickly, accurately and independently, while collaborating with other digital designers and copywriter teammates.
What you will do:
● Design assets for ASICS product campaigns under the direction of a Sr. Designer or ACD
● Present creative work to key stakeholders throughout the ASICS organization
● Work in a remote team environment consisting of experienced designers, copywriters, project managers, and creative directors to execute designs for a variety of digital assets. (Web pages, microsites, emails, web banners, social and more)
Must haves:
● Digital design, graphic design, or illustration area of focus
● Collaboration skills: working in partnership with a copywriter
● Proficiency in Adobe Suite, particularly Photoshop and Illustrator
● Strong typography and layout skills
A plus to have:
● Familiarity with project management tools and excellent time-management skills
● Familiarity with HTML, CSS and front-end web technologies a plus
● Experience animating in Photoshop, After Effects or other video platforms a plus
● Experience with Workfront and Figma a plus
● Print and Retail design experience a plus
