POSITION DESCRIPTION JOB TITLE: Box Office Ticket Seller (Part-Time) COMPANY: ASM Global DEPARTMENT: Finance FACILITY: Mohegan Sun Arena @ Casey Plaza REPORTS TO: Box Office Manager/Box Office Lead FLSA: Part-Time Hourly/Non-Exempt POSITION SUMMARY: This position is responsible for carrying out the day-to-day activities of the Box Office. HOURS OF WORK: Available hours will vary by week and will depend on event and on-sale schedules. Box Office staffing hours during the week on a non-event day are 9:45am-4pm. Event days will extend those hours. Weekends hours will vary by event, but can run all day. The majority of available hours will coincide with our event schedule; mostly evenings, nights and weekends and are important to the business. We are looking for someone that can do 10-20/week and have open availability for all Box Office operating hours. POSITION RESPONSIBILITES: Open and/or close ticket window as required; Sell and distribute will call tickets for Mohegan Sun Arena events using Ticketmaster software; Reconcile daily sales reports and cash deposits; Answer customers’ questions promptly, courteously and accurately both over the phone and at the ticket window; Keep a clean, well-groomed appearance and organized work space; Maintain an energetic, professional and polite relationship with co-workers, clients, and the public; Perform related clerical work and other special assignments as requested; SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position does not have supervisory responsibilities. QUALIFICATIONS: High School diploma/GED; or a student currently enrolled in high school in pursuit of a high school diploma. Pass a Consumer Report background check in compliance with company policy. Basic knowledge of computer and point of sale technology. Previous Ticketmaster or venue box office experience preferred. Outgoing, friendly, and professional attitude for strong guest relations. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Must be able to follow directions, but work independently when needed. Work well with others in a team environment in a high volume and sometimes stressful environment. Able to work most event hours which include nights and most weekends as assigned shifts dictates. Reliable transportation, punctual arrival, and consistent availability.
