Summary ASM, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent and immediate opening for the Engineer for ASM Jacksonville. Responsible for overseeing, maintaining, and installing all types of HVAC, fire suppression and food service equipment. In addition, the engineering operator will assist with electrical, plumbing repair and maintenance at the TIAA Bank Field. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Maintain, diagnose, and correct facility and appropriate building systems in all facilities within appropriate discipline (HVAC). Provide preventative and corrective maintenance and repair and installation of new equipment as needed. Provide necessary information for the proper purchase of preventative and corrective maintenance of equipment and systems. Respond to routine and emergency calls and make necessary repairs. Research, develop and make recommendations in regards to the maintenance and capital improvement of equipment and systems. Monitor system efficiencies and recommend appropriate solutions. Assist in the daily oversight of appropriate contractors. Provide event related maintenance, services and support. Review, perform and maintain regular department work orders and equipment through the use of CMMS (ASM Maintenance). Conduct regular inspections of work spaces to ensure proper housekeeping, safety and compliance exists for the protection of health, safety and rights of employees and the public. Must be willing to look for new ways of doing things. • Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and meet the City’s driving requirements for City equipment. • Must have ability to possess and maintain current OSHA Forklift and Personnel Lift Certification Education and/or Experience • High School Diploma or GED preferred. • 5 years’ experience in maintenance and repair of HVAC. Refrigeration and Food Service equipment in an industrial or commercial setting. • EPA universal and small appliance certification Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Working environment/conditions • Required to utilize protective equipment as may be needed for the specific task. • Position is subject to weather and working conditions: dirty, hot, cold, wet, confined areas, ditches, or other uncomfortable places. • Requires standing for long periods, lifting, and climbing of ladders. May work from scaffolding, stooping, and working at high heights. • Must be able to work extended and/or irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. • Must be available to monitor building systems remotely and respond to afterhours calls.
